2011 POAO Banquet
POAO held its annual banquet on November 15, 2011, the last night of Symposium 2011. Several awards were presented and members recognized for their efforts.
Adam Galt and Kimberely Ridgers were recognized by President Patricia Giroux as outgoing members of the POAO executive. Outgoing directors Paulette Joseph and Christina Nikolaidis were also recognized for their contributions to the board.
After a moving tribute to past Long Term Achievement Award winner Darlene Humeniuk who passed away last April, President Giroux announced to those in attendance that the Long Term Achievement Award has been renamed in Darlene's Honour and will now be known as the Darlene Humeniuk Long Term Achievement Award. The first Darlene Humeniuk Long Term Achievement Award was presented to Jean Gauthier.

Member of the Year: Katherine Lehti
Executive Member of the Year: Karen Tinning
Branch of the Year: Southwest Branch
