To Our Friends and Colleagues,
We would like to express our appreciation to all of those who made the Dr. Davey Elementary School play day such a success.
The children enjoyed various activities such as blowing bubbles, water games, parachute games, baseball, soccer, dress up, pinning clothes on a clothes line race and obstacle courses. A more crafty activity included the artistic abilities of Michelle Slacke's husband, Jemni that encouraged the children to contribute to the school's premise of tribes.
It was a hot day but the kids had a lot of fun and were very enthusiastic. They appeared to love the hotdogs and the refreshments provided.
In appreciation of our efforts the staff and the children of Dr. Davey Elementary School held a brief assembly at the end of the day to thank us!
The community also provided us with tremendous support. Weston Bakery and Genuine Bakery donated all the hotdog buns. Fortinos, The Barn, Food Basics, our Area Manager Bob Feere and POAO donated the water, condiments and other necessities. Without these generous donations the event could not have happened!
We look forward to hosting next year ' s play day and barbecue at Dr. Davey Elementary School.
